Getting your business right on Bing too, not just Google
Most search traffic in Rockford goes through Google, but Bing feeds Copilot and parts of ChatGPT search, and a lot of local businesses never touch their Bing listing at all.
What this covers
Once your Google Business Profile is set up and accurate, Bing imports it automatically about once a week. What I actually do is make sure your name, address and phone number match exactly across both, and fix the Bing listing by hand if the import pulls over anything wrong.
Why it's worth doing
Bing's own tools now show which of your pages are actually being read in AI answers, through its AI Performance and Copilot Indexing reports. Bing also has a direct URL submission tool, 100 URLs a day, separate from just submitting your sitemap. None of this replaces Google, it's a second channel most of your competitors are ignoring. How it works
I confirm your Google Business Profile is accurate first, since Bing pulls from it. Then I check the Bing Places listing matches, set up Bing Webmaster Tools, and submit your sitemap and key pages directly.
