Websites for auto repair shops, mobile mechanics, tire shops and detailers
I'm Ryan. I build websites for auto repair shops, mobile mechanics, tire shops and detailers around Rockford. Car trouble is urgent, so your site has to answer two questions fast: do you fix this, and can I trust you with my car.
People search with the problem, not the trade
Almost nobody searches "auto repair Rockford" first. They search what's actually wrong: a clicking noise when they turn, grinding brakes, a check engine light that won't clear. A page for the jobs people actually type in works harder than one page that just says "we fix cars."
And a lot of those searches happen from a parking lot or the side of the road, on a phone. Tap-to-call at the top of every page matters more for a car shop than almost any other trade, because the person calling might be standing next to a car that won't start.
Say your diagnostic fee and your warranty out loud
People hesitate to call when they don't know what the diagnosis costs before they've agreed to anything. R's Mobile Mechanics puts it in plain text: a $100 diagnostic with $50 of it going toward the repair, a 1-year parts warranty, and same-day availability. ChatGPT names R's first when someone asks for the best mobile mechanic in Rockford, and in our September check it quoted his warranty, diagnostic fee and same-day terms back as the reason.
That's the pattern for any shop: write down your diagnostic fee, your warranty length and how fast you can get to someone, instead of leaving it for the phone call to explain.
Tire shops: let people find their size first
Someone shopping for tires wants to know one thing before anything else: do you have my size. Marvelouz Tires had 757 Google reviews at 4.9 stars and no website, just a Facebook page, with an old page from a previous shop name still confusing people on the map. I built them a tire size finder covering 174 sizes from 13 to 22 inches, in English and Spanish, so a customer can check before they ever pick up the phone.
Detailers: show the work
Detailing, ceramic coating and paint protection film sell on seeing the actual work. For Woks Detailing, I built a custom site with 3D renders of the shop's own work, an interactive paint protection film tour customers tap through, a window tint shade picker, and its own page for each service: ceramic coating, PPF, tint and wraps.
People shopping for ceramic coating or PPF are usually comparing packages, not just shops, so a page that walks through what each package actually covers does more work than a single price list. Someone who can tap through the coverage before they call already half-trusts you by the time they pick up the phone.
What's built into every shop site
A mobile mechanic who says "northern Illinois" is harder to trust than one who names Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney Park, Roscoe, Belvidere, Rockton and Cherry Valley by name. Shops with a physical location have the opposite job, making sure the towns that pull in customers are written out plainly, so someone two towns over knows you're worth the drive. Vague coverage reads as uncertain, and naming the towns plainly is one of the cheapest trust signals on the whole site.
- A photo quote form, so someone can send a picture of the damage or the part before they call
- Every new lead emailed to you in seconds
- A lead inbox on your phone: called, quoted, won, lost
- Every town you actually drive to for mobile work, written out plainly
All of that is part of Core at $99 a month, $0 down, no setup fee. I build a demo of your actual shop's site first through the free demo, so you see it before you pay anything.
